Hands on practice using wet and low moisture cleaning methods, spotting techniques and chemicals play an integral part of this course. They will examine various specialty markets, what's involved in service to each market and how to determine what your costs will be and how much you should charge in order to cover all labor, supply, equipment, overhead and profit. This is a hands-on seminar, during which you will calculate and prepare actual bids on case study buildings and be able to ask and have answered all your bidding and estimating questions. This Seminar will provide technical information and demonstrations on the proper procedures, chemicals and equipment needed to identify, clean, maintain and restore all common types of floor covering materials. This includes floor coverings used in commercial, health care, food service, industrial and residential properties. Also proper procedures for specialty applications for use in areas - computer rooms, clean rooms and laboratories. Surfaces covered will include: wood, laminate, stone, ceramic, terrazzo, marble, concrete, epoxy, VCT & VAT tile and sheet goods. The seminar will prepare attendees to take the IICRC certification exam, at the end of the second day.

David Kiser was the first Chair of the IICRC HCT Committee. He approached the IICRC to facilitate the development of a science-based peer reviewed course for the Residential Cleaning Industry. David brings a strong business perspective to the course; helping technicians and owners to understand how to use the HCT Certification to build value in their performance and the business they represent.
